Through the Topsector Horticulture & Starting Materials, business community, knowledge institutions and government work together to stimulate innovation in the sector. Since 2012, more than 250 research and innovation projects have been funded through the topsector. Around 400 companies are involved in this.
The results of all these studies end up with the R&D departments of the participating companies. Part of the research, however, remains on the shelf and will not be further developed into concrete products, processes or services. Topsector Horticulture & Starting Materials strives to also transfer this accumulated knowledge to the market. Only then is there real innovation for the sector!
Through the program IMPACT 2025, Topsector Horticulture & Starting Materials wants to retrieve ideas and involve new parties to translate (existing) research into concrete applications in practice. For this, the topsector is organizing a series of activities in 2019 and 2020.
